As Canadians have grappled with effective approaches to pandemic response, questions have arisen regarding optimal measures for children. This has implications for many sectors, including healthcare. Like other organizations, CHEO had to adapt seemingly overnight to provide exceptional care in the pandemic context with a strained but diligent workforce. These adaptations have enabled clear lessons to emerge regarding healthcare leadership that are relevant to pediatric centers and beyond.
