We are pleased to announce that the Northern and Interior BC Chapters will be joining forces effective February 7, 2020. The chapters have merged to better support members within a large geographical area across the northern, central and southern BC interior. The newly merged chapter will retain the BC Interior Chapter name but this will be reviewed at a later time. This is very exciting for the chapter executives, the CCHL staff and College members as this combined effort will provide additional opportunities, more events and activities, and increased value for members. Thank you to Chapter members for providing feedback throughout this process.
Both Chapter memberships strongly voted to merge the chapters in order to optimize volunteer and financial resources to enhance and better support chapter members and activities. The CCHL Board of Directors approved the merger on December 17, 2019. The national office has been supportive and has assisted in guiding both chapters throughout the process.
Kris Kristjanson, current Chair of the BC Interior Chapter welcomes the combined membership as we celebrate the College’s 50th Anniversary, and looks forward to working together in the next 50 years!
