Dr. Anne Snowdon’s latest paper shines a light on the relationship between health supply chain capacity and the impact of the pandemic on the health workforce.
The rapid surge in demand for critical products and access to care has placed enormous pressure on health systems worldwide. The pressure and uncertainty have had a significant impact on the health workforce, specifically the relationship between the health supply chain and the autonomy of the health workforce.
Dr. Snowdon’s research demonstrates that supply chain capacity must been seen as an integral component of the health ecosystem to ensure the workforce is confident in the safety of their work environments. Strengthening the health supply chain will be crucial to post-pandemic health system recovery.
